В нем он прокомментировал призыв к Вооруженным силам Украины «на каждый выстрел отвечать выстрелом», не разбираясь, «провокация это или нет». «Если они стреляют и убивают, то что нам делать? Молчать? Давайте будем людьми! Я призываю не начинать стрельбу, а отвечать», — сказал Кравчук. Он заверил, что Украина никогда не начнет военную кампанию против самопровозглашенных республик.
27 июля 2020 года в Донбассе было объявлено бессрочное перемирие, согласованное в рамках ТКГ представителями Украины, России и ОБСЕ. Данная попытка соблюсти договоренности о прекращении огня является 21-й по счету.
